Shane English School China (SESC) offers you the opportunity to experience the rapidly evolving and multifaceted culture of China first hand, with the support and expertise of the largest British owned EFL organization in Asia. SESC was established in Shanghai in 2000 and currently has 17 schools in China, teaching over 5000 students and employing hundreds of academic and non-academic staff. Teachers at SESC teach a full range of student ages, with a high percentage of Young Learners classes. SESC Ningbo was established in the city center of Ningbo a little over 5 years ago. In that time our school has rapidly gained a reputation for excellence in teaching, creativity in the classroom, and consistently evolving curriculum. We now have three schools in the Ningboarea, with over 2000 students and 20 foreign staff. Ningbo is on the southeastern coast of China, in Zhejiang province. The city is 1.5 hours from Hangzhou and only 2.5 hours from Shanghai, thanks to a new bridge across Hangzhou Bay. Ningbo is a charming blend of old China (hutongs, markets, and temples) and the new (skyscrapers, western restaurants, music clubs, cafes). Zhejiang, throughout most of Chinese history, is known for its contributions toChina's art and literature.
